Rajesh Khanna is no more, but his memory will always be cherished by fans. On his fifth death anniversary, we list ten memorable songs picturised on him.

You may not agree with the list for the simple reason that Rajesh Khanna is easily the one who had maximum hit songs and we all will end up drawing a different list.

Here is one such:

Mere Sapno Ki Rani:

This song from Aradhana (1969) was a super-duper chartbuster and is considered an evergreen classic. Composed by SD Burman and crooned by Kishore Kumar, it was the opening track of the film. The catchy tune set to the pace of a chugging train continues to be addictive to this day.

Yeh Jo Mohabaat Hai:

Rajesh Khanna was undoubtedly a master of romance. His film Kati Patang (1970) was directed by Shakti Samanta and had a superhit soundtrack. Composed by RD Burman, songs like Ye Sham Mastani, Pyar Deewana Hota Hai and Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai which were sung by Kishore Kumar, became anthems of love.

Achha Toh Hum Chalte Hain:

This number from Aan Milo Sajna (1970) was a duet by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar. This goodbye song will never go out of fashion.

Zindagi Ek Safar:

This song from Andaz (1971) is a happy song celebrating love and life. Zipping around on a bike with Hema Malini, Rajesh Khanna looked so charismatic that the heart skipped a beat.

Gussa Itna Haseen Hai Toh:

Sung by Kishore Kumar in Maryada (1971), which starred Raaj Kumar, Rajesh Khanna and Mala Sinha, the song was a rage.

O Mere Dil Ke Chaien:

This is Rajesh Khanna at his best as a romantic hero in Mere Jeevan Saathi (1972). The film's soundtrack combined RD Burman's music, Kishore Kumar's voice and Rajesh Khanna’s charm, to create many songs which are sung by lovebirds even today.

Yeh Kya Hua:

Amar Prem (1972) directed by Shakti Samanta once again brought together Sharmila Tagore and Rajesh Khanna. She played a prostitute with a heart of gold while Rajesh Khanna won over everyone with his role of a lonely businessman. The song Yeh Kya Hua describes the pain of being away from your loved one.

Hum Dono Do Premi:

This song is another famous train number starring Rajesh Khanna. The song from the film Ajanabee (1974) was the first romantic song to be shot fully on top of a train.

Jai Jai Shiv Shankar:

Unforgettable is a modest word for this number which is a part of Holi celebrations till date. The track from Aap Ki Kasam (1974) featured a tipsy Mumtaz shaking a leg along with Rajesh Khanna after enjoying one glass too many of bhang.

Aate Jate Khoobsurat:

Rajesh Khanna had a terrific sense of melody. And in Anurodh (1977), a Hindi musical drama directed by Shakti Samanta, he played a rich young man who aspires to be a musician against his father's wishes. The film spawned many hit numbers including this one sung by Kishore Kumar.
